Mom, nurse, debt survivor, sober living, sleep deprived, family law enforcing coffee addict.
Proudly raised in Carbon County Kim fell appreciative of nonprofits when her daughter, Ariana was born with a very rare disorder. Inspired by the mission, outreach and initiative of Nevus Outreach, Kim quickly developed a deep passion for charitable work. Being the recipient of an amazing charitable gift from Dream Come True Blue Ridge Chapter added gasoline to the fire. It is amazing to see how people pull together for others in times of need to make them feel special, assist them, ease the hopelessness. It has been her goal to continue to give back what has been so graciously given to her and her family. You can find her donating her time and efforts into March of Dimes, American Heart Association, Relay for Life, Special Olympics to name a few.
Kim graduated cum laud from St Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1997. With 21 years of nursing experience on various platforms spanning med-surg to intensive care to PICC Team to Home Care to Labor and Delivery. For the past 3 years she has been a clinical nurse specialist in Oncology and Chemotherapy infusion. Here she discovered her deep interest in the human capacity to overcome adversity and heavy challenges in order to heal, change and strengthen. To understand life can change in a minute and becoming part of someones journey during a dark time and building a trusting relationship with them and improving their quality of life is priceless.
Being able to merge a passion and her career is a blessing. When you love what you do it no longer becomes work. And now she plans to further embark on that with efforts planted firmly into Moms of Carbon County.
